This section of our web site contains various specimen documents and working tools that may assist you in solving problems and developing your management systems and controls. Most of the tools are free and you may copy them or modify them to suit your requirements. For more complex tools or for large documents, we may levy a small charge to cover our development and administration costs. Where a charge is applicable, follow the ordering instructions to obtain a full copy of the relevant document.
Example working plan
For ll but the most simple forms of low-risk waste management operation, working plans are required. To new entrants into the field of waste treatment or disposal, preparing a working plan may be a daunting prospect. Therefore, as a useful template we have published one of the working plans that we have written on behalf of a client to act as an illustration of what a plan should look like and the sort of information that could be included.

Specimen environmental policy
All organisations should have in place a statement of their policies towards environmental management. The example below shows the basic components of such a policy which would be generally suitable for any SME working towards accreditation under ISO14001:2004, BS8555 or the Welsh Green Dragon scheme.

Specimen environmental emergency plan
Most industrial and commercial sites have the potential to cause significant environmental harm. In addition to the obvious threat posed by chemicals and oils, even materials that are non-hazardous to humans, such as foods and beverages, can cause serious environmental harm. The run-off generated in the event of a fire can also be very damaging and atmospheric deposition could have a long-range impact. The environmental impact of an incident may be long term and, in the case of groundwater, may persist for decades or even longer.
The best way to avoid creating avoidable pollution is to have in place an environmental incident or emergency response plan.
